This house was built in 1889 by Stafford Tillinghast, who also built the Thomas Moran House right around the corner. (The Tillinghasts were an old East Hampton family; one was named Puah, a name you don't hear much today!) Anyway, the house has been extensively renovated since then and it's very charming inside, although it looks like it needs a new kitchen. Now it's 2960sf, five bedrooms, 3.5 baths, on 0.3 acre. There's a separate studio out back. The property is walking distance to everything in the village, of course, but traffic on Woods Lane is pretty brutal.
