Classic 1910 Summer House in Westhampton Beach

New, 2 comments

This is a historic property, originally built for four-time governor of New York and Democratic presidential candidate Alfred E. Smith as a summer home. It retains a lot of its original charm, although the listing is suffering from the Curse of the Indifferent Photo. Considering the asking price is $4.495M, we think the house could be better shown off. There are seven bedrooms and four and a half baths in 5000sf. The property size is 1.1 acre, with a gunite pool, pool house, and all-weather tennis court, although if we were buying, we'd ditch the tennis court as it takes up too much of the yard.
