The East Hampton Library is holding its 9th Annual Authors Night benefit event. The evening's Founding Co-Chairs Alec Baldwin and Barbara Goldsmith will be joined by Honorary Co-Chairs Robert A. Caro, Nelson DeMille, A.M. Homes, Robert K. Massie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph E. Stiglitz and more than 100 distinguished authors.

FOOD TRUCK DERBY (Hayground School, 15 Mitchell Lane Bridgehampton)
Friday, August 9; 4-7:30PM; $60
Edible East End presents the second annual Great Food Truck Derby. Trucks from Manhattan to Montauk will hit the pavement to converge at the Hayground School in Bridgehampton for an early evening of ethnic and local mobile eats along with regional wine and craft beer.

Broadway legend Elaine Stritch, 87, takes the spotlight once again in the film Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me. Bold and poignant, the film follows the uncompromising Tony and Emmy-award winner dominating the stage, tormenting Alec Baldwin on "30 Rock," sharing her personal takes on her struggles, and reflecting on her life. Q & A to follow with Alec Baldwin.

The 39th annual Quogue Art Show and Sale to benefit the Quogue Historical Society will feature over 25 local artists. During the art show, the Pond House (114 Jessup Avenue) will be open for viewing the Society's current exhibitions.

Let's Misbehave Gatsby themed party will see Hamptons trendsetters enjoying libations, supper, and dancing in the vineyard at Love Heals' 17th consecutive summer Hamptons event. All proceeds from the evening directly support Love Heals' efforts to protect the next generation of New Yorkers from HIV.
