If you've never been to the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum, go! Not only does the museum tell the story of whaling, the industry on which Sag Harbor was built, its building—the Benjamin Huntting House—is extremely interesting and historic itself. But as a national landmark, it has special requirements for restoration and even for painting. And since the Masons have their temple on the second floor, the building is prevented from getting federal grants. This is where you come in. Local residents Eric and Gina Hadley are having a benefit September 6 to raise funds to restore the museum. The Fiesta will feature Montaco truck tacos, Montauk Brewing Company beer, wine from Channing Daughters, Dreamy ice cream from Sylvester & Co., music and a kids' area. ¡Arriba!
