Where Should Simon Cowell Shack Up in the Big H?

New, 20 comments

Simon Cowell, X Factor judge and baby daddy to Lauren Silverman, a pregnant Hamptons socialite, is on the market for some new digs. The Daily Mail reports that Cowell is suffering from serious Hamptons property lust. Given his dicey personal life, which we reported in our Gold Digger series, we are betting that he is smitten with a lot more than just the magical sunsets on the South Fork. Cowell is reportedly worth $390 million, so he's got serious cash to throw down for a Hamptons estate. Simon, we wish you luck with your house hunt, so here are some suggestions. Where do you think Cowell should live?

Option one: 263 Surfside Drive, Bridgehampton
On the market for $29,950,000, this scene-stealer in Bridgehampton is nothing short of stunning. We're thinking Cowell and Silverman would enjoy the clean lines of this oceanfront mansion. Clocking in at nearly 10,000 square feet, the couple would certainly have ample room for their newest arrival. If Cowell is tuckered out from diaper duty, he can kick back in the sauna, hot tub, or plunge pool.

Option two: 493 Rose Hill Road, Water Mill, NY
Rose Hill Point in Water Mill sits on 2.3 acres. Listed as "price upon request," so we're betting it's not cheap. But with $390 million in the bank, we're confident Cowell can swing this property. Boasting a 10-seat movie theater with water access and docking rights, this place is all about opulence. We just couldn't help but think this ping-pong room might a good fit for Cowell. If things go south with Silverman, he could always hit up SPiN, a table tennis hotspot in East Hampton, and pick up a new dish.

Option three: 21 Platt Terrace, Southampton
Listed for $2,195,00, this 1,500 square foot cottage in Southampton is a far cry from the other sprawling properties we're suggesting. Sensible with an outdoor terrace and heated pool, this house is quiet and intimate. If Cowell buys this house, he'll have all the money he wants to spoil his new baby.

Option four: 674 Scuttle Hole Road, Water Mill
Simon clearly loves to flaunt his good fortune, and we think this McMansion listed for $22,995,000 in Water Mill fits the bill! In case Cowell has a sentimental side, this European-style estate lends itself to memories of life across the pond. With flawless finishes, a limestone terrace, and a gorgeous kitchen, this place should speak to his persnickety type A personality. Translation: every detail is well thought out.

Option five: 612 Halsey Lane, Bridgehampton, NY
Better known as the Sandcastle, this residence is infamous in the Hamptons for literally having it all! Listed for $43,500,000, this estate boasts a rock climbing wall, bowling alley, gym, skateboard ramp, basketball court, tennis, and pool. Check out the featured wall of televisions. If Cowell ever tires of Silverman, he can just stare at himself on five different TV screens all day long. Our thoughts? Simon, invite us over!
