We've spent a lot of this summer reviewing the hippest digs in Montauk for a weekend getaway. But after spending time at the Surf Lodge, Ruschmeyer's, and the Montauk Beach House, we thought we should revisit one of the grand dames of Southampton, the Village Latch Inn. Considering that we have coined this The Summer of Rudeness, it was refreshing to step into the quiet elegance of this setting. Life beats a little slower here, and we appreciated all of the little touches that this B&B has to offer. The quick proximity to Cooper's Beach made this ideal for exploring the estate section of Southampton. Currently listed at $23 million, this historic property has yet to find the right buyer. Hipster might be chic, but true class, well, that's a different story.
