Rules Are for the Poor Folks. Let's Party!

New, 2 comments

Marc Leder, Sun Capital head, pal of Mitt Romney, and party animal, has been annoying the neighbors of his rented Water Mill estate all summer with loud revels featuring bikini-clad young lovelies. For his July 4 bacchanal, he secured a special party permit through the application of wads of cash, according to the New York Post. On Tuesday, a huge tent was erected on the property—without a permit. Southampton Town slapped him with a stop-work order. Undaunted, Leder's lawyer negotiated a deal with Southampton that included a $10,000 donation to a local charity. Leder's neighbors are incandescent. A neighbor quoted in the Post said, "It's just legal bribery. You can dress it up however you want."
