[Aerial photo ©AerialAesthetics.com] Last year, two Norman Jaffe-designed houses were put up for sale on Meadow Lane in Southampton. Neither sold. The first was 210 Meadow Lane, asking $29.95M, 8500sf and on 2.3 acres right next to Cooper's Beach (very busy in summer). The second was 2170 Meadow Lane, a more compact 3200sf but a larger plot at more than 4 acres, for $24M. Now up for sale (and quite similar in style to the other two, with plenty of Jaffe signature touches like natural wood and stone) is 88 Meadow Lane, asking $24.95M. The house is sized between the other two at 5800sf, on 2.3 acres. While the Hamptons real estate market is better now than last year, it's anyone's guess what this place will sell for. If you want to knock it down, the listing notes that "The building envelope on the parcel has potential for 21,000 sq. ft. of living area. Floor plans and survey are available." Seems a shame to tear down a pretty house like this.
