The Art of the Deal

New, 3 comments

While we quite like William Quigley's work, we're not at all sure we would want a 9-foot painting of Donald Trump glaring at us every day in our foyer. Apparently the person who was willing to pay $60,000 for the portrait was none other than Trump himself. (Just how many portraits of himself do you bet the Donald has in Trump Tower? Dozens, we'd guess.) The auction took place last Friday night at The Pleasurists art show in East Hampton; proceeds benefited Guild Hall. Curbed Hamptons favorite Stewie Rahr was on hand to bid for the Donald. [BlackBook]
