How Much Did the Sag Harbor Whaling Captain's Home Go For?

New, 4 comments

Back in April, we featured this elegant distressed beauty, which once belonged to Shamgar H. Slate, master of the whaleship Neptune in 1841. We noted the house's original condition, ready for a sensitive restoration of the original millwork and random-width pumpkin pine flooring. With two parlors, three original staircases, three bedrooms and two and a half baths in 2555sf on a third of an acre, asking price was $1.795M.

So how much did this house close for? Shamgar wants to know.
