That was fast! We wrote about this circa 1940 cottage in mid-April, when we opined that the price for the 600-square-foot building was "batshit insane." Guess it wasn't that insane! Though we don't know the final price. As we noted, you get 1.6 oceanfront acres in Montauk, but the site is steeply sloping, so we're not entirely sure how large of a new house could be built once the buyer tears down the cute cottage.
