What $2M Buys You in the Hamptons Right Now

$2 million is about the current average price for a house in the Hamptons. (It goes back and forth per quarter.) So let's take a look at five houses in five towns that are about that price point.

The Lowdown: This is a three-bedroom, three-bath with 2800sf on 2.1 acres. It has a heated pool and a tennis court.

Horsey in East Hampton
29 Passing Road; Saunders
The Lowdown: The actual asking price for this place is $1.75M, as we couldn't find a $2M property in East Hampton. Three-bedroom, 2.5 baths in 1780sf, set on 3.09 acres. There's a gunite pool and a stable with five stalls, a loft, and a tack room.

"European" in Amagansett
43 Broadview Road; Halstead
The Lowdown: This three bedroom, 2.5 bath house with 3035sf on 1.15 acre is in the Broadview Association with deeded bay access. The listing says the house has "European flavor" with lovely millwork and three fireplaces. There's a pool and hot tub in the back.

Teardown in Montauk
128 Second House Road; Elliman
The Lowdown: One-bed, one-bath, 600sf teardown on 3.87 acres right on Fort Pond.
