Ruschmeyer's in Montauk: a New Chef Team This Year and a Worthy Charity Event This Weekend

New, 1 comment

Ruschmeyer's opens its doors for its third season tomorrow. This year, Matt Kliegman, Carlos Quirarte, and Melia Marden of The Smile in Manhattan will team up to operate the restaurant in collaboration with executive chef Brian Loiacono.

Sundays will be themed reggae nights. The first one, Sunday May 26, is a charity event for great causes. Mike D of the Beastie Boys and creative director Robert McKinley are raising money for Waves for Water and The Rockaway Plate Lunch Truck. Waves for Water helps provide clean water to communities in need around the world; while closer to home, The Rockaway Plate Lunch Truck provides free food from top New York restaurants to the communities hit the hardest by Hurricane Sandy. Music provided by DJ Stretch Armstrong.
