Do you know what Montauk's biggest catch is? Us either. Turns out it's squid. (Montauk brings in one-quarter of the nation's squid, as a matter of fact.) To celebrate, on May 15, Almond restaurant is serving four courses of local squid paired with four rosés from Channing Daughters. The family style squid meal will be $60 a person, and at the restaurant will be Chef Jason Weiner, Channing Daughters winemaker Christopher Tracy, and a Montauk squid fisherman. [Edible East End]
