Period Details in Sag Harbor 1840s Greek Revival

New, 1 comment

There's a lot to love in this 1840s Greek Revival with plenty of space and lots of original charm. All that breezy white marble with plenty of exposed knotty pine is airy and soothing. We even love the zingy citrus colors, but that's just how we roll. One minor quibble is the staging or lack of it. For a house asking $3.75M, couldn't they have shoved a couple of sofas and tables in the empty rooms? There are two staircases (we love servants' stairs; we know if we'd lived back in the 1840s, those would be the stairs we'd be using) and four bedrooms on 4200sf. There are five and a half marble bathrooms and even a sauna. Outside there are "curated" garden beds (isn't "curated" over yet?) and a 60-foot saltwater pool on .43 acre.
