July 27-28 will see a new kind of shark tournament in Montauk—an all-release event. The Shark's Eye tournament hopes to bring attention to the plight of sharks, which are killed in the tens of millions every year, and to help bring back the large sharks that are disappearing from our waters. Mako, thresher and blue sharks will be fitted with advanced satellite tracking tags to monitor their movements after release. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top anglers.
