Philip Johnson's Farney House Has a New Owner

New, 5 comments

After several years and several pricechops, the Farney House in Sagaponack is in contract. This historic and important house was designed by Philip Johnson in 1946, before his famous Glass House. It's been updated since then and enlarged in 1989. The 2009 price was $35M, which was pricechopped to $29.95M in 2011; the last listed asking price was $24.95M. We don't know the final sales price yet. With the iconic house comes 3.60 acres of prime oceanfront property, including 363 feet of beach frontage, and a fun retro kidney-shaped pool.
