A plan to build affordable housing that started about six years with the purchase of several acres in Tuckahoe is getting moving again. Jon Sirkin of Vesta Development was approved by the Southampton Town Board back in February 2009 to build 16 two-bedroom condos in four buildings. But development stalled because of the economy. Now his plan for Sandy Hollow Cove calls for 32 rentals, one-bedrooms and studios, among the four buildings. The one-bedrooms would rent for about $900 a month.
