A standing-room-only crowd spoke out at an East Hampton Town Board meeting Thursday night. The group mostly opposed an application to allow Cyril's Fish House to expand onto another lot and rezone the land from residential to business. Concerns ranged from public safety, environmental impact from septic waste (currently, portable toilets are used), and setting a bad planning precedent. We don't see how the current situation could be worse, with mobs of people wandering up and down Montauk Highway on summer nights, so we think some solution needs to be found.
