A couple of weeks ago, Brooklyn-based filmmaker Vinz Feller announced he was accepting donations on Kickstarter for a short film to be called Montauk. Now art house director Volker Schlondorff, best known for The Tin Drum, is planning an autobiographical film called Montauk. It's apparently about people in a quaint fishing village eking out a living wordsmithing for a well-known real estate blog?oh wait, that's our screenplay (we're thinking of calling it Montauk). Schondorff's film "will follow the story of a writer coming to the States to aid in the opening of his new play, only to get caught in a world of romance similar to the source of his play, Don Juan."
