'Let Them Eat Tate's' on Indian Wells

New, 5 comments

We love it when local residents think small and modest when building their new house. Small and modest like?Versailles? This "world class estate" on Indian Wells Highway in East Hampton was "inspired" by La Maison de la Reine, the fake-humble house built for Marie Antoinette within Versailles. Oh, but did Marie Antoinette have a heated salt water pool with underwater speakers? We think not.

Also included with your $9,950,000 is 1.9 acres, a private path to the ocean beach, seven bedrooms, 8.5 baths, and your own full-size windmill, which is decorative only, just like the original moulin at Versailles. Très bien!
