Ron Perelman Finally Cut Down to Size

New, 12 comments

Billionaire Ronald Perelman, he of the posts on public property (since removed), has finally had a smaller gate installed at his sprawling East Hampton Village estate, The Creeks. As we noted last December, Perelman seemed to be taking his time with the gate. (We understand, Ron: it's so hard to get workers in the off-season.) The new gate is now in compliance with the maximum allowed height of six feet.

Perelman frequently has large gatherings at his 57-acre spread. Last summer, the annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit was held there, featuring performances by Jennifer Hudson, Usher, and Jon Bon Jovi. Prior to that, he had a fundraiser for Mitt Romney that saw a queue of cars snaking out to the highway. We bet we'd have more friends if we were billionaires.
