Less than three months ago, we opined that "On the face of it, $750K is ludicrous for a spot in a trailer park. But when the trailer park is Montauk Shores and the spot is oceanfront, and you own the land, it's a little less crazy." Even less crazy than we thought—the trailer and land sold for $775K, $25K over ask. Commenters agreed that Montauk Shores is a great place. "The real reason to buy here is the sense of community. Parties, gatherings, your neighbors, cocktails on the deck each evening, recreation programs, surfing/sunning at Ditch, "manhunt" at night, fun kid stuff you all remember from childhood. THAT is really what Montauk Shores is all about. The view is just icing on the cake." Sounds wonderful to us.
