1970s East Hampton Updated with Taste and Style

New, 21 comments

This is how you bring a 1972 contemporary house up to 21st century standards: respect the architecture when renovating, install a new kitchen and baths, sprinkle in some vintage furniture, add some pops of color, and there you have it. There's an open floor plan and two en-suite master bedrooms, three more bedrooms and two baths. In all, there's 2840sf set on 2.12 acres, with a forty-foot pool and outdoor shower. Price is $1.995M, which does not seem unreasonable—the house last sold in 2006 for $1.45M. Hands Creek Road can be somewhat busy, but it would be nice to stroll across the street to LongHouse any time you wanted.
