Designer's Historic Sag Harbor Home Snapped Up Quickly

New, 5 comments

When we posted about this c. 1850 house less than two months ago, we praised the thoughtful touches the designer owner had added as well as the lovely carp tiles. Well, that was like waving a red flag in front of the commenters, who wrote "I am going to have nightmares tonight about the carp tiles. What if they suddenly come alive and become piranhas? And chewed up the entire bathroom, a pantheon of poor taste?" and "The house is a mess and the location is a dog." Well, the place is in contract already and looks like for full asking price, $2.25M. BOOM. And we hope the new owners keep the carp tiles.
