Historic Preservation

Last night, Southampton Village's Architecture Review Board rejected an application to demolish the house supposed to belong to local African American historical figure Pyrrus Concer. The owners of the house at 51 Pond Lane, who bought the property this year for $2.75M, are expected to sue. Since the house is within the village's historic district, the ARB has the power to disallow demolition. [All posts about Pyrrus Concer]
