Crazy? Desperate? Lonely? We've Got Some Roomies for You!

Ah, craigslist. We love perusing craigslist ads—so much insanity on display. Such as the following ads for roommates: answer these at your peril!

First off we have an ad for a "PEACE FULL ARTIST HOME." in Quogue. Apparently that translates to "every room has a Buddha picture." Let's Zen out with this one before proceeding!

Relaxed yet? OK, let's go. Dear reader, are you CONSERVATIVE? A ">>>Non-Smoker,>>>> NO>>PETS. . .. . . Working professional . . ..Responsible.. considerate Roommate. . . cleanliness , fair share of keeping house clean. . ." Are you looking to share with "mature adults ..Clean!!! And keep house....clean!! And expect the same out of anyone else. We are both stable minded. . . very quiet and keep to ourselves. . .. Non-smoker or drinkers...no medication of any kind would like a.. compatible... roommate. This is a working professional house not a party House of any kind. We are very conservative."?

Are you as frightened as we are? Not yet? How about this next ad, then?

What if you don't have any money at all? How about this room in Hampton Bays, available until 12/31?
i need someone to do some interior painting, as well as some work in the yard, organize a basement, put up interior holiday décor, be a second pair of hands or just take care of some things You get a room in a house for six weeks, and all you have to do is "some painting (good painting that comes out right the first time), cleaning, plumbing repairs, electrical work, garden clean up, putting up indoor Christmas trees, arranging them so they look real and then putting the lights and ornaments on them, property clean up, and basement and storage unit organization." That's IT? Where do we sign up?
