From what we can piece together from the various real estate sites offering info about this six-bedroom, the only thing that's changed more than its price is the agency representing it. The 6500 square footer started out with Douglas Elliman hoping for $14.5M back in 2008, tried out a few different asks under Corcoran between 2009 and 2011, and finally ended up at Sotheby's. It's been quietly languishing with nary a peep until a $550K increase late last week. Believe it or not, the home is now asking more than it was back at the end of 2011.
Considering how uncommon priceups are these days, we reached out to Sotheby's hoping they'll offer an explanation for the decision. We'll update if and when they respond.
