Duck Walk Vineyards, a purveyor of inexpensive Long Island wine, is in hot water again with a similarly-named company based in Napa, Calif. A legal agreement a few years ago between Duck Walk Vineyards and the Duckhorn Wine Co. said that Duckwalk had to clearly identify the origin of the grapes on the front of their labels and could only produce 84,000 bottles with the word "duck" on them or with images of ducks. Duck Walk Vineyards has allegedly reneged on the deal and is now back in court. Better stock up now on their velvety whites with forward, jammy huckleberry flavors, complex top notes of yuzu, and velvety finishes of subtle minerality and Meyer lemon. [Patch]
