Want more than just memories from your next trip to Montauk? Then Head on over to Lola's Tattoos, which is now officially open on Flamingo Road. The shop's run by Lola Snow, a colorful lady who's been in the tattoo business for nearly 40 years (she has another shop in Bogota, New Jersey), and if you can dream it, she can ink it: From Chinese characters and names of ex-girlfriends to tribal designs and piping plovers.
As is typical in Montauk, news that a tattoo parlor would be opening was greeted with denial, anger, and bargaining. But Lola assures everyone there'll be no late nights, no undesirable types loitering about, and no hipsters with fedoras. And since the whole thing is housed in an adorable little shingled beach bungalow with a cute backyard, what could really go wrong?
