Just Like That...This Trio Of Listings Is More Than $6M Cheaper

New, 4 comments

Guess the end of the year didn't quite extinguish the Great Hamptons Fire Sale that we heard about a few weeks ago. The dramatic pricechops have continued. In the last few days alone, three of them worth $6.1M have hit area listings.

Was Asking: $6,995,000
Now Asking: $5,995,000

Considering this $1M chop came less than two months after the home hit the market, we get the impression that the seller is motivated. The steps-from-the-beach house includes five bedrooms, a gourmet commercial kitchen, and enough room to host a nice little party or two. Most notable about the place? It's set on 1.82 acres...a nice sized parcel in this neck of the woods. [LINK]

Was Asking: $10,975,000
Now Asking: $8,875,000

For anyone that's followed the harrowing tale of Setsuo Ito's "Island In The Sky" over the last few years, this chop should come as no surprise. The demand for Miami Vice-like estates in the Hamptons has reached an all-time low. [LINK]

Was Asking: $12,000,000
Now Asking: $9,000,000
This commercial property in Bridgehampton hit the market about three months ago, so the 25% chop is an impressive one. Impressive enough to generate some interest in the 5.4 acre property? We shall see. [LINK]
