David Gerstenhaber, one of the first "tiger cubs"?a nickname given to hedge funders who started one of their own following a stint at Tiger Investment Management?has just listed his massive 12,000 sq. ft. Sagaponack nine-bedroom with Corcoran for a hefty $19.95M.
Built in 2010 (guess he's tired of the upkeep), the $20M listing includes interiors by Victoria Hagan, enough room to accomodate "hundreds for dinner and cocktails as well as multiple overnight guests" (there are nine bedrooms, after all), a master suite with a pondfront terrace, 20 foot ceilings, and a 6 to 8 car garage. Of course the gunite pool is there, as is a whirlpool and solar cooled terraces. The home's lower level also offers "a full gym with sauna, theater, play room and guest/staff suite."
As grandiose and "perfectly executed" as the place is, Mr. Gerstenhaber might be a little optimistic with his pricing. Consider that there's another home located on this very street that offers more acreage (1.6 to 1.4) and is currently listed for $7.995M. Granted, it's older and 4000 sq. ft. smaller, but do those differences really equate to a $12M difference in price?
