Greenport Gallery Closes; Fall Specials/Talks For Wine Lovers

JAMES BEARD AWARD WINNERS AT BEDELL CELLARS ? On Sunday October 14th, from 2pm to 4pm, Cutchogue's Bedell Cellars will be hosting Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page as they discuss their award-winning book, The Food Lover's Guide to Wine. TERRENCE JOYCE GALLERY CLOSES ? After spending five seasons in Greenport, painter Terrence Joyce has decided to close up shop. He told the The Suffolk Times, "I've been very happy with having a gallery right on the harbor and pleased to have met so many North Fork community groups that are receptive to what artists are trying to do." ROANOKE VINEYARDS' NEW TASTING ROOM ? Riverhead's Roanoke Vineyards has opened a tasting room on Mattituck's Love Lane. Since the vineyard is one of the farthest west and "can easily be forgotten on a day trip," they're hoping the new space (featuring floors made from wine barrels) will place them "more in the center of the Long Island wine trail." FALL SPECIALS AT COVE PLACE ? The recently opened Cove Place Inn in Aquebogue is hoping to entice wine lovers with a few fall deals.
