Bibliophile Lists Southampton Modern For $5.995M

We can't track down much information on this property's owner, but one thing is for certain: They certainly love books. Check out those overflowing racks in one of the bedrooms. Suh-weet. Henry Bemis (pre-glasses breaking) would feel right at home in this 4000 sq. ft. construction.

Set on 1.26 acres on Flying Point Road in Southampton, the five-bedroom "compound" is one of the more interesting moderns we've come across in a while?it's not your typical walls of class/angular design combo. To the brokerbabble!:

"[The home] welcomes you with a spiral staircase to a naturally lighted dome and a brushed metal bridge to the Master suite above. The kitchen is designed to be a part of the living space without intruding upon it. A 3/4 wall separates the gourmet kitchen from the vaulted livng room. The floors are Bluestone and sisal with radient and forced air heat and central air conditioning. Each guest room is a self contained living space for a complete separation from the rest of the house, and in one case with its own entry way."Outside, you'll find an expansive rolling lawn, a covered porch with a fireplace, and a two-story stucco poolhouse "which stands sentinal over the 64' heated gunite pool." · Listing: 271 Flying Point Road [Prudential Douglas Elliman]
