The Art House B&B Returns To Market, Asks $5.2M

New, 8 comments

We were wondering why this massive (some might say overbuilt for the .46 acre lot) 7000 sq. ft. villa seemed familiar. While the the listing makes no mention of it, the five-bedroom home also goes by the name of the Art House Bed & Breakfast. The "new construction"?though it's at least three years old at this point?manse has been serving double duty as both a private residence and a high-end guest house.

It would now seem that its owners, artists Rosalind Brenner and Michael Cardacino, are ready to move on from the hospitality industry. They've listed the "world styled villa" with Brown Harris Stevens for $5.2M?although, according to PropertyShark, it briefly flirted with the market back in '09, but was asking $200K more. Quite a hefty sum for a non-waterfront property in Springs, but the place does offer a rather impressive list of amenities.

"...2 master suites, one with sauna, both with steam showers. Two guest bedrooms on the ground floor have fully appointed bathrooms. Gourmet dream kitchen features three ovens and two double dishwashers, giant refrigerator and freezer, and wine cooler. Extensive living area boasts double-height, balconied living room, and three fireplaces. CAC and air filtration systems throughout. Finished lower level features a staff apartment with full bath, an indoor endless pool, media room, and completely equipped gym; elevator connects all levels."There's also a "Southern California style" courtyard with dining loggia, a deck with fire pit, an outdoor shower, and a 66' heated gunite pool. And, believe it or not, it also belongs to the Clearwater Beach Association. So, ownership grants access to a private bay beach and marina located just a block away. Though, if the Arthouse's website is to be believed, "You won't want to leave this place." Thoughts?

UPDATE: Looks like Brown Harris Stevens may have listed this one in error. One of the owners of the Art House B&B kindly reached out and informed us that the home is not for sale. We regret the error.
