Danny DiMauro and Tin Ojeda noticed a rather amusing trend amongst the ever-growing surfing crowds at Ditch Plains in Montauk. Even though the waves can sometimes be less than impressive, many of the surfers at the hotspot take it seriously. They thought all the "pre-session stretching, yoga, and arm pinwheeling" looked silly enough that they decided to document it in a tongue-in-cheek film called "Kook Paradise." Check out the trailer, embedded above.
The movie, shot and narrated in the style of 50s and 60s (with grainy footage and deadly serious narrator), makes it world debut this Saturday at 9PM at Melet Mercantile out in Montauk.
