In a New York Times profile of Christopher Burch today, the venture capitalist and ex-husband of Tory laments about the current state of the Hamptons real estate market and claims that nobody talks about real estate at cocktail parties anymore: "Today, real estate is just not as much of a conversation piece as it was in the past. People talk about their families, their kids’ schools, about preserving the environment." We haven't noticed this trend?are we just hanging out with the wrong crowd? [New York Times]
