Moby Dick's Surfaces In Montauk For The Summer

New, 4 comments

Following the lead taken by Momofuku Milkbar, another group of NYC restaurateurs has taken up temporary residence in Montauk this season. Part of the team responsible for Kingswood, Nick Hatsatouris and Lincoln Pilcher, has opened up Moby Dick's at 435 East Lake Drive (in the Rick's Crabby Cowboy Marina). The nautically-themed restaurant?they go so far as to give you a numbered buoy after ordering food?has also brought in another Manhattanite to help with the operation. They've tapped Il Buco's executive sous chef, Gary King, for the "seasonal, market-driven menu which changes daily." And, since offering rose now seems to be a requirement whenever food on the East End is consumed, they've got a cart of the stuff (don't worry, it's got beer too) making the rounds.
