$16M Spec House Naturally Comes With Bowling Alley

It officially costs $15.95 million to go bowling without rental shoes. Just ask this 8,700-square-foot Farrell Building Co. residence on Bay Lane in Water Mill. The home's 3,700-square-foot lower level comes complete with a two-lane bowling alley. Yes, lanes to spare! And the outrageous amenities don't stop there: there's also an elevator, sauna, and movie theater.

If all of these upgrades sound familiar, it's probably because you have builder Joe Farrell's Sandcastle burned into your mind. In addition to novelties like a rock climbing wall and a squash court, Farrell's personal creation also includes a bowling alley. Seems like he's penned a new signature amenity!

So like, why a bowling alley? Why not! Farrell only paid $4.8 million for the property earlier this year, so there's plenty of breathing room to go a little overboard. Besides, the spread spans two full acres of south-of-the-highway land, which offer views of Mecox Bay and the ocean. Is there anything this house can't do?
