How Much For This Three-Bedroom Windmill In Amagansett?

New, 6 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide some details and pictures from a local listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Friday, we reveal the answer. No cheating!

What/Where: 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom on Deep Lane in Amagansett
Square Feet: 1300
Acreage: 5.5
The Skinny: Unlike a few of the area's other windmill houses, the one attached to this three-bedroom actually functioned at one point. That is, until it was converted into a guest house in the 1950s. Since then, the place has had quite an impressive roster of tenants: Kurt Vonnegut, Terence Stamp...even Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller were once rumored to have spent a weekend there. And while the residence itself may be small, the parcel most certainly is not. The home is set on 5.5 acres and overlooks a 100-year-old apple orchard and offers "unimpeded views of The Quail Hill farm fields." So, Curbed readers, what do you think they're asking for the place? And, just to keep things interesting, what do you think they really should be asking?
