August 18th is still a long way off, but you might want to consider scheduling a trip to Shelter Island that Saturday. It's when a team of local British ex-pats and the St. James Cricket Club from London will be playing a little cricket match to raise funds for the town's newly established Ambulance Corps. The details are still being finalized (they've yet to set a time or decide on a field), but we do know that there will be no cost for admission. Of course, donations will be more than welcome.
