It took well over two years, but NYC bigwig broker Dolly Lenz finally unloaded her Water Mill country home for $5.495 million. Chump change compared to the commissions she racks in! The story starts back in June of of 2010 when the Prudential broker asked Corcoran's Tim Davis to lenz a helping hand (an unexpected move that she happily defended). Thereafter, the property sat stale until Dolly decided to stage the home, upping the asking price to $5.9 million.
Even though the house sold in March, it seems like Dolly and Davis aren't out of the corn fields just yet. The Real Deal reports that the purchasers have sued the duo (as well as the Corcoran Southampton office) for breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation. Awkward! Details surrounding the summer suit are sparse, but we do know that the new owners are seeking $20,700 in damages. Not too tragic, especially since Dolly and her husband only paid $2.9 million for the place back in 2002.
