One 57, the Christian De Portzamparc-designed 90-story condo/hotel tower in Manhattan's midtown, is hoping to sell its 40 or so remaining residences with a little help from the Hamptons. Gary DePersia of Corcoran and Chris Burnside of Brown Harris Stevens were recently flown to Manhattan via helipcopter for a sneak-peak at the multi-billion dollar property. The move makes sense as both agents have the clientele with the kind of scratch who would actually be able to afford something in the building?the apartments start at $16.75M. Still, that's mere chump change when you consider that the penthouse recently sold for more than $90M.
Hopefully, Mr. DePersia is already banging out some of that brokerbabble of his that we love so much. We can only imagine the superlatives he'll be using to describe the place.
