We'll be publishing The Weekender every Thursday afternoon throughout the summer. Got an event you think readers need to know about? Email us!

Don't know what to do this weekend? Fret not, dear reader. We've scanned our inbox (and the Internet) for a few events that might be worth checking out. Enjoy!

SUNSET FRIDAYS AT WOLFFER ESTATE'S WINE STAND (3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack)

Since you'll have most likely been sitting in traffic for a few hours, consider recharging your batteries by picking up a glass of rosé and watching the sun set over Wolffer Estate's vineyards. This week, Clinton Curtis will be providing the soundtrack to one of the most enjoyable ways to begin your weekend out east. [LINK]

DAN'S POTATOHAMPTON 5K (Ocean Road and Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton)

...just don't drink too much. Otherwise, you might be too hungover to participate in Dan's Paper's 34th annual PotatoHampton 5K Saturday morning. The longest-running charitable race in the Hamptons, the course takes participants on "a loop along some of the most highly sought after street addresses in the Hamptons." [LINK]

MUSIC AT THE BACKYARD RESTAURANT (90 Second House Road, Montauk)

On Friday, Jetty Koon ("The band that sounds better with every beer.") will be taking the stage at 8pm to perform for the fedora-ed masses. Saturday night sees a DJ spinning (or pressing play on the iPod, whatever DJs do these days) at 10PM. Sunday should be a little mellower?bossa nova duo Ludmilla and Marcello Pimenta will be providing the soundtrack to brunch, which starts at 11:30am. [LINK]

NINTH ANNUAL GALA AT CLUB STARLIGHT (18 Goodfriend Drive, East Hampton)

On Saturday, The Ross School's 9th Annual Gala At Club Startlight begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and musical performance by Grammy Award winning artist Roberta Flack. And it's for a good cause! Money raised will go towards programs and scholarships that benefit the school's mission to "change the way education meets the future; to foster interdisciplinary, integrated thinking and innovative leadership; to engage fully in the global community; and to facilitate lifelong learning." HAYGROUND CEMETERY TOUR (Windmill Lane & Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton)

If you'd rather not spend your Saturday morning working up at sweat at the PotatoHampton 5K, the Bridgehampton Historical Society will be hosting a tour of the Hayground Cemetery at 10AM. It's definitely not everyone's idea of summertime fun, but you can't beat the price. FREE! [LINK]

REALITY PEOPLE DOING THINGS (Southampton and East Hampton)

On Friday, from 6pm to 8pm, C. Wonder in Southampton will be hosting a book signing for Tinsley Mortimer's new book, "Southern Charm." Then, on Saturday, from 5pm to 7pm, Everything But Water in East Hampton will be throwing a grand opening celebration hosted by Kelly Killoren Bensimon. Both women have very nice hair.
