On a recent post, one commenter noted that when pricing a property in the Hamptons, owners and realtors seem to ask "25-50% more than its worth." This contemporary in Sag Harbor is a great example of what they were talking about.
Weighing in at 2250 sq. ft. and offering just three bedrooms, it's listed at an even $8M. That's more than $3500 per sq. ft.?an incredible amount, even for something on the ocean. We actually kind of like the place (the 1.7 acre property itself is rather lovely), but when you consider the waterfront inventory that's been floating around out there, this is going to sit for a while unless the seller gets a big ol' dose of reality.
