If you're looking to spend the summer by the beach, but the thought of fighting for parking spaces, dinner reservations and the last plum pie at Round Swamp Farm sound like the opposite of fun, you might consider a rental on the North Fork. The New York Post has a nice little write-up on the area in today's issue. Benefits include the countless vineyards, its casual attitude and the dramatically lower rents. "Our highest price point is $100,000," according to Karla Dennehy, Prudential Douglas Elliman's managing director for the North Fork. Personally, we enjoy the season out here (at least until August). We're just throwing the option out here. [NY Post]
