Architectural Record Magazine has just named the Bates Masi + Architects-designed "Genius Loci" a "Record House 2012." The Montauk residence?whose name translates to "spirit of a place"?is just one of nine that the magazine has featured in their April issue dedicated to modern homes that "push design boundaries." This is the fifth award bestowed upon the 7000 sq. ft. modern since its completion in 2011.
