Pants On Fire

When the application for Section 8 housing in Manhattan asks "Do you own any real estate" it's best not to lie about the home you have in Sagaponack. That's the lesson noted concert pianist and previous Harvard University visiting fellow, Antonio Fermin, learned the hard way recently. After an investigation, Mr. Fermin was arrested and pleaded guilty to illegally receiving almost $20K in Section 8 housing funds from July 2004 to September 2009. His sentence? 40 hours of community service and the repayment of the monies he received. Hopefully, that slap on the wrist won't hurt his playing. [DNAinfo]
