Another Clearwater Beach Cottage Joins The Under 500K Club

New, 2 comments

After hitting the market in May of 2010 for $625K, this two-bedroom cottage has fallen victim to the pricechopper's blade three times for a total of $136K. The most recent $489K ask is significant not only because it allows membership to our illustrious Under 500K club, but because it represents quite a sizable loss. The current owner paid $585K for the property back in 2005 and shelled out for a host of improvements. Per the brokerbabble:

"Cleared and leveled backyard, new septic system in 2008, New hot water heater 2009. New back deck 2006, new patio and front deck in 2009, new irrigation system, new privacy fence, new landscaping, new ceiling fans installed in all rooms, new wood shelving and storage closet in basement."Even if the house does go for the current price, the seller stands to lose well over $100K on the deal. At least they've been able to enjoy a few summers taking advantage of the private beach and marina access afforded to homeowners in the Clearwater Beach Association. Though, that's hardly a consolation prize. · Listing: Fantastic Deal Clearwater Beach Cottage [Town & Country]
