After Two Years, This Water Mill 6-Bed Gets Its First Pricechop

New, 2 comments

We've got to hand it to the owner of this south-of-the-highway traditional for their unyielding optimism in the face of reality. After putting the home on the market for almost six million dollars in March of 2010 they have only now (almost two full years later) decided to lower the price. Yesterday's $500K pricechop brings the ask down to a still-hefty $5.495M.

And what does that get you? A perfectly nice, if rather ordinary, 8000 sq. ft. home on Mecox Road. Cue the brokerbabble:

"...an elegant foyer with dramatic curved staircase, a formal dining room, a living room with a vaulted ceiling, and den. The den and livingroom have a unique large fireplace between them. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with the finest appliances, marble countertops and off the kitchen is an octagonally shaped breakfast room and wet bar. The master bedroom wing of the house has a his and hers walk in closet, spa-like bathroom, and a its own fireplace, making it a special retreat. An oversized 3 car garage stores all your cars and toys. The almost one-acre property also boasts a separate cottage with full bath, a gunite pool (of course) surrounded by a blue stone patio and "incredible views over 17 acres of agricultural easements." · Listing: 350 Mecox Road [Corcoran]
